Our next stop is the impressive Papanikolis Sea Cave — one of the most iconic sights of the region. The cave is remarkably large, capable of accommodating even tall-masted vessels. Your guide will share the fascinating story behind its name, taken from the Greek submarine “Papanikolis,” which hid here during World War II.
Swimming inside the cave is not permitted for safety reasons, but the scenery is truly spectacular.

Bella Vraka is the sandy passage that connects Syvota with the small island of Mourtemeno — a place many call the “Caribbean of Greece.” Its pink sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters create a unique, exotic landscape that feels almost unreal.
It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Syvota, and both locals and visitors consider it a must-see. A quick stroll to Bella Vraka is always worth it — the scenery is unforgettable.

As the trip progresses, we will continue our journey and sail through the small islands of Sivota, sometimes called the Ionian Fjords. Fierce sea battles between the Corfiots and Corinthians took place in these waters in 432B.C., prior to the start of the Peloponnesian War that lasted for 30 years.  Relics of the sunken vessels are still found at the bottom of the sea today. Sivota is a typical marina village. The teal waters that surround the coast perfectly complement the pebble beaches and lush green landscape. There will be time to explore and discover what attracts many sailing yachts during the summer months.
